As verified, there are two different hardware versions of the door control units (Lowline "3" - Highline "5") required for "swing mirrors." To determine if you have the correct door control units, the part number must be read using diagnostics. Example part number: XXX 959?9X + index letter such as A, B, C. Here is the location of the crucial question mark: ? = 3 = not compatible - the door control unit must be replaced; ? = 5 = compatible - the door control unit does not need to be replaced. For example: 5Q4959593X / 5Q459592X are suitable, 5Q4959393X / 5Q459392X must be replaced. If the factory-installed control units are not suitable, you must use the control units from our "Accessories" section. This ensures that the control unit has the correct software and data sets.
