To permanently activate and deactivate the Start/Stop function for VW, Seat, Skoda, and Audi vehicles, a plug-and-play or OBD version is available. Note: In the permanent installation version, the Start/Stop function can be activated/deactivated via the KUFATEC Link app on a smartphone. KUFATEC Link is available free of charge on Google Play and the Apple App Store. The OBD interface can be used for one vehicle multiple times. After successful coding, the Start/Stop function is permanently deactivated, but the indicator light on the factory switch for activation/deactivation remains off. The function is not permanently disabled but can be reactivated at any time with the dongle. Example: 1st use = Start/Stop disabled; 2nd use = Start/Stop enabled; 3rd use = Start/Stop disabled; 4th use = etc. Note: For MLB vehicles (A4 8W, A5 F5, Q5 FY, Q7 4M, Q8 4M up to MY 2018), the air conditioning must be switched on (AC activated); otherwise, the engine will shut off when the function is activated.
